Man down

The lurgy got me.  Chest cold which as all me will know could be very serious and is probably going to develop into "man flu".  Therefore all training suspended over the weekend which is really upsetting because it will knock my fitness levels back having just got them to a good level.  Could be worse, it could be just before an event.   That's why the first objective in any training like this is to get to the start line fit and injury free.  I'll leave it to Neil to take up the batton over the weekend with some training - progress report to follow.

  2. I went to bed on Weds feeling great only to wake up 3 hours later feeling ill - very sore throat & very snotty. Two days rest, then biked Sat am easy & ran 1.40 this morning. A bit thick headed but otherwise felt fine. If you have what I have then it just appears to be a head cold.

  3. Thanks for the comments guys and Stoo I like the positive approach. I have been completely floored with a chest infection but fortunately got antibiotics early so hopefully will be back to some light traing by Wednesday. I am going to take the next couple of days off as I feel hellish.
